It is that time of year where reception children seem to be more prone than others to infections and illnesses. There are lots of different illnesses going round. Please don't send your child to school if they have been sick or are needing more comfort than normal. There has to be 48 hours free from last bout of sickness before children can return to school. We are encouraging children to wash hands especially after using the toilet or before eating but please can you reinforce this at home.
Reception is also the time where you might find additional items in bags and pockets that don't really belong at home. Please don't worry about returning these items.
We are now starting rehearsals for the Christmas production. Cygnus class are going to be mice or sheep and the children have generally chosen what they want to be. I will send information about clothing at a later date although we are keeping it very simple.
We are very good at weighing the parcels and using language such as heaviest and lightest.
Our Post Office is very busy at this time of year.
Oscar was star of the week as he has such a positive approach towards learning even when he finds it difficult.
