Half term holiday

Hello, I hope you are all having a lovely half term, Please keep up with the reading and tricky words.. I would like the children to start learning how to spell these words;

This will really help with their writing. Ethan very kindly gave out some phonic cards on Friday. His mum had bought some and there were lots of left overs. Thank you so much for this.

I am afraid the phonics session that I had hoped would happen on the first Friday back will need to be postponed. I am now non class based for the day for subject release time. I will try and rearrange it for the following week.

We have another home learning project coming up. As we approach Easter and we turn our thoughts to the concept of Salvation in Religious Education, I thought it might be lovely to produce a shoe box size Easter Garden. Pinterest has some great ideas.

We had a brilliant time in the Explorer Dome learning all about flight and forces. The scientists were really impressed at some of our knowledge and understanding.

Bottles galore

Hello, just a reminder about needing plastic bottles for tomorrow. We will be working in mixed age house colours creating rockets to be launched as part of a competition on Friday. Mr Dyson demonstrated the rocket launch system to staff last week and it was brilliant.  Photos to follow after the launch.....

Stay and play Thursday

What a super morning it was. I am so glad you were able to join us. Whilst we wouldn't necessarily do as much craft as this in a day, you experienced some of what we do try to achieve. They are quite a creative and imaginative class. You might need to keep your shaving foam locked away although we do love playing in at or practising our letter formation. Sorry that some of the photos are a little blurry, I think the i-pad was confused over so much movement.

I think we will do the Friday after half term for a phonic session. This will be in the class from 8.50 until about 9.30. I will leave a sign in sheet on the yellow table. Then we will have a technology/ games morning the time after.
